It was solely held in Manchester between 2003 and 2012, during the winter track cycling season. The series comprises four meetings each year, held between October and February, on Saturday evenings. It was announced in February 2012 that only two meetings a year would held at its Manchester home from the 2012-2013 season onwards, despite the Manchester events still attracting sell out crowds. The other two events were to be held at the new velodromes in London and Glasgow. In July 2012 it was announced that next series (Season 10; 2012-2013) would instead consist of three meetings at Manchester followed by a final meeting in Glasgow.
