Notre Dame High School (NDHS) in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California, is a co-ed Catholic college preparatory high school founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross in 1947. Located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Notre Dame is known for an outstanding college-prep academic program, championship athletics, and award winning fine arts program. NDHS has been honored by the United States Department of Education Blue Ribbon Schools Program, and is especially known for its academic program, band, football team and Cross Country team. Its newspaper is The Knight, a member of the High School National Ad Network. Notre Dame was founded as an all-male school, and became a co-educational school in the 1982-1983 school year.
