Derby della Mole, also known as the Turin Derby (Derby di Torino), is the local derby, played out between the city's two most successful teams, Torino F.C. and Juventus F.C.. The first match took place in 1906 and most derbies take place in the Serie A or Coppa Italia. It is the oldest Italian derby. The 2008-09 season would be the last derby matches between the two sides as shared tenants of the Olimpico. Since then, Torino has been relegated to Serie B and then regained promotion after finishing runners-up in the 2011-12 season while Juventus moved to their new stadium on the site of the mostly demolished Stadio delle Alpi in the summer of 2011.
