It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 24 (or virtual channel 21.1 via PSIP) from a transmitter at its studios on Butler Road. The station can also be seen on Comcast and Frontier FiOS channel 7, and in HD on Frontier FiOS digital channel 506 and Comcast digital channel 1007. Owned by Malara Broadcasting, WPTA is operated through a local marketing agreement (LMA) by the Granite Broadcasting Corporation. This makes it sister to NBC affiliate WISE-TV and the two share studios.
