Large settlements of Doads are found in District Hoshiarpur (Punjab), Nawanshahar (Punjab) and District Una (Himachal). There are also Doads found in Faridkot, Bathinda, Ferozpur etc. Some Doads who have immigrated to North America and Europe from village Jalwehra have changed their family name to Jalwehra or Dodd. In the earlier British accounts the Doad history was recorded under the "Dod Clan".
