MSO was established in the city of Aligarh in 1977 by Advocate Ismael Wafa, a student of Aligarh Muslim University and now a reputed scholar of Kerala. The movement is headquartered in New Delhi at Daryaganj.MSO is working in various prominent Campuses across the country like Aligarh Muslim University ,Aligarh ,Jamia Hamdard New Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia University, Rohilkhand University U.P, Rajasthan University, Rajasthan Technical University, Markazu Saqafathi Sunniya Kerala,Lucknow University, and Jamia Sadia College.
