Polladhavan (Tamil: ??????????; English: Ruthless Man) is a Tamil film written and directed by Vetrimaran. it stars Dhanush and Divya Spandana in the main leads and it was released on 8 November 2007. The musical score is by G. V. Prakash Kumar, while Yogi B and Dhina composed each one song. Velraj is the director of cinematography and Rambo Rajkumar was the stunt choreographer. This movie later remade into Kannada as Punda and another remake in Telugu as Kurradu starring Varun Sandesh in the year 2009 and its also going to be remakee in Sinhala as Pravegeya starring srilankan famous model Hemal Ranasinghe and Miss Srilanka Jacqueline Fernandez who is also a famous Bollywood actress in lead. This movie was loosely based on Bicycle Thieves. It had nothing to do with the 1980 film of the same name which starred Dhanush's father-in-law Rajinikanth.This film was a major success in the box office.
