High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Francis "Frank" Forshew (ca. 1827 – 1895) was a 19th Century photographer based in upstate New York, in the United States of America. Though not as well known or famous as his peer of the times, Mathew Brady, Forshew was just as prolific and served a very large customer base for many years. Forshew set up a retail business in Hudson, New York, which at the time was a major crossroads of several travel routes through and across the New England states along the bank's of the Hudson River. The quality of his work led to a long and productive career that spanned through many of the technology shifts taking place in the photography business as it grew through the mid-to-late 1800's.
