It is part of the Des Moines–West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area. Clive is known for its outstanding Greenbelt Park and trail system running through the entire community. Considered "Distinct By Nature" the community offers a high quality of life for its residents through its recreation offerings and one of the most recognized Public Art Programs in the state.
