He received MFAs from Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute and then from Alfred University. He is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) and the founder of China Sanbao Ceramic Working Village. For the past ten years, he has served as a professor and research fellow at China Ceramic Cultural Research Institute, Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute.
