Damian Rodrigo Diaz Montero (Spanish pronunciation: , born 1 May 1986) is an Argentine footballer that currently plays for Ecuadorian Serie A club Barcelona as a playmaker well known for his technique, passing and ability to link up with his teammates. He started his career at Rosario Central of his natal city, then joining to Boca Juniors, in where in his first season won the title of the Torneo de Apertura under the orders of Carlos Ischia as coach. The next season, after of his lack of opportunities at La Boca's team, he moved to the Chilean Primera Division powerhouse club Universidad Catolica, devoting as player with Marco Antonio Figueroa, being named the best playmaker of the tournament and was runner–up of the Torneo de Clausura, returning then to his country for play at Colon de Santa Fe.
