She works primarily in early modern philosophy and is the author of Leibniz's Metaphysics: Its Origins and Development (CUP, 2001), which offers a new interpretation of Leibniz's philosophical development. More recently, she has been working on the philosophy of the English Platonist, Anne Conway and on the Platonism of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. She is currently working on a book entitled Platonisms and Early Modern Thought, which investigates the diverse range of Platonist views and assumptions behind the philosophy, theology, and art of the early modern period.
