The station is in Garfield, New Jersey, USA, located along Midland Avenue at Plauderville Avenue. Prior to the opening of high level platforms at the station on October 11, 2011, Plauderville Station was regarded as being in Garfield despite the station platform being partially in Garfield's neighbor Saddle Brook; the border passed between the Suffern and Hoboken bound platforms while the parking lot for the station was in Garfield.
