For the first time the Greater Western Sydney Football Club competed in the competition fielding its junior squad, replacing the Gold Coast Football Club who competed in the 2010 VFL Season. It was the 19th season of the TAC Cup competition. The season consisted of 17 home and away rounds with each team playing 16 home and away matches and four rounds of finals, culminating in the 2010 TAC Cup Grand Final which determined the 2010 TAC Cup premiers. Calder Cannons won the Grand Final for the sixth time in its history and second premiership in a row, defeating Gippsland Power by 58 points.
