This term is considered offensive by some people. The mail-order bride industry is the economic trade of contracted domestic partnerships, often between citizens of different countries or cultures. A derivative of arranged marriage practices, mail-order bride services satisfy the statistical imbalance of men to women in the West and the economic needs of women in the East.
