High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The later life and career of Larry Norman focuses on the period of American Christian rock pioneer Norman's life from the implosion of his Solid Rock Records in June 1980 to his death on February 24, 2008 in Salem, Oregon. In 1978 Norman's head was injured in a plane crash and his prominence in the rapidly evolving CCM community faded although his influence "reverberated through those decades" from the 1970s - 2000s. His injury and later health problems influenced his work and his discography. In Norman's obituary Sarah Pulliam noted that, "Although Norman left a large footprint, he also became estranged from the music industry because of strained relationships. He was eventually diagnosed with bipolar trauma". In 2001 he was inducted, along with Elvis Presley and Keith Green into the into the Gospel Music Association's (GMA) Hall of Fame.
