This little book is based upon suggestions and advice which the author has ventured to offer from time to time in his lectures at King's College, London. Though it lacks systematic arrangement, and is in many respects imperfect, it is hoped it may be the means of drawing further attention to one of the most pressing and complex questions of our modern life, and especially to the need of improved moral training for the young.
