For Keith Rocco the emphasis is not on the appearance of the landscape or panoramas, but rather the human drama that occurs when men are facing death, so many of his paintings focus on the moment, the incident. His empathy is for the rank and file, for the underdog, for the soldiers who willingly follow others and do incredible things, despite the possible outcome.
