This general English course develops fluency, accuracy and confidence. Fresh topics get students thinking and speaking, while authentic reading and listening provides a natural context for presentation of language points. An active discovery approach to grammar guides students to work out patterns and rules for themselves and the syllabus helps students check what they know and then build on their knowledge. Speaking is integrated into all sections of the lesson and extended speaking tasks support students by helping them prepare what they are going to say. Authentic listening tasks are included to raise awareness of features of natural conversation and learner independence is encouraged through the development of good strategies and habits. Vocabulary building skills are emphasized throughout the course.
