Michele De Lucchi belongs to the younger generation of Italian architects of international reputation. He was a driving force with his group "Cavart" in the years of Radical Design and he was partner founder of "Memphis" which was to become one of the most important contributors of new orientation in the eighties. Today, the activities of his studio in Milan range from industrial design, furniture and interior design, to architecture for private and commercial use. Among the clients are Arflex, Artemide, Kartell, Mandarina Duck, Pelikan, Deutsche Bank, Matsushita and Vitra. For many years the studio has been involved in important projects in Japan, Germany and Italy. As an advisor of Olivetti, Michele De Lucchi is responsible for the design of computers, banking equipment, and office furniture systems.
