Bindy Johal(Bhupinder Singh Johal) (January 14, 1971 - December 20, 1998) was a notorious Vancouver-based Indo-Canadian organized crime leader who was born in India, and came to Vancouver, B.C when he was young. Johal began to associate with those involved in a criminal lifestyle, which ultimately led to his demise. Johal was murdered on December 20, 1998 at the Palladium nightclub in downtown Vancouver. He sustained a single point-blank gunshot to the back of the head while in the midst of over 300 dancing club patrons. Johal died at about 4:30am on Dec 20 from the single gunshot. For reasons unknown, Johal had not brought his bodyguards with him to the club, despite being threatened several times.
