High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Tony Scales (born June 13, 1983) is an American Songwriter better known by his pen name Chef Tone. He was born in Chicago, Illinois where he was discovered by Grammy Award winning R B Star R.Kelly in December 2006. Chef Tone contributed to R. Kelly's and worked on his 2007 release "Double Up". Although Chef Tone did not receive official writing credit for his numerous songs as a ghost writer for R. Kelly, the music industry took notice and in 2008 he signed to Atlantic Records as a writer. He was quickly paired with Atlantic's rising R B artist Trey Songz to work on his third studio album Ready and penned the first promotional song for the album, "Brand New", which was included on the deluxe edition of the album.
