Jaikoz generates acoustic fingerprints (MusicIP's MusicDNS PUIDs) of your files and looks up the PUID and the existing metadata from the MusicBrainz or Discogs service. Potential matches are scored according to an algorithm and if the highest score is greater than the user determined threshold the track is selected. This allows Jaikoz to automatically fix most of a users song collection. Jaikoz uses a relatively unusual spreadsheet metaphor for both viewing and editing data, and allows editing of over fifty fields using this spreadsheet interface, the underlying jaudiotagger tag library is released under LGPL and is used by various Java applications.
