He represents the Bhubaneswar constituency of Orissa and is the Vice President and Founder Member of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) political party. He enrolled as an Advocate from the Bar Council of Orissa and as a lawyer he started his practice before the Hon'ble High Court of Orissa and handled various Motor Vehicle Accident Claims case besides Civil Cases at his young age. He Joined the Maharishi Mahesh yogi ashram at Rishikesh and thereafter undergone different types of training on Yoga ashanas etc. Then he went to switzerland to join the ashram of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Ashram.
