MacFarlaine is the bassist for a UK rockband called Stone Gods, with the remaining members of the now defunct UK rock band The Darkness. He is also the bassist for Boy Cried Wolf featuring Manic Street Preachers second guitarist Wayne Murray. He regularly writes blogs for the band and has made a name for himself through many interviews and articles. MacFarlaine was also in the band Thirteen:13, and has toured with Ash guitarist Charlotte Hatherley and Irish indie rock band JJ72. Most notably, he spent 7 years playing the bass with Blur guitarist Graham Coxon touring England, Europe, Japan and America.
