In 2007, The U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics ranked the Port of San Diego as one of America's top 30 U.S. containership ports bringing in nearly 3,300,000 metric tons (3,200,000 long tons; 3,600,000 short tons) of cargo per year. Together with the National City Marine Terminal, the Port of San Diego is the primary port of entry for Honda, Acura, Isuzu, Volkswagen, Nissan, Mitsubishi Fuso, and Hino Motors into America. The Port also holds a 20-year lease with Dole Food Company bringing in much of the country's banana crop.
