(help·info), born February 13, 1947) is a Russian figure skating coach and national figure skating team adviser. Tarasova has been coach to more world and Olympic champions than any other coach in skating history. As of 2003, her students have won a total of 41 gold medals at the European and World championships. As of 2010, her students have won a combined total of 7 Olympic gold medals in three of the four Olympic figure skating disciplines. Thus, she is popularly called the "Champion maker". She was inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2008. She was the wife of Vladimir Krainev (1944-2011).
