Mantineia (Greek: ?????????, formerly also Antigonia - ??????????) was a city in ancient Greece that was the site of two significant battles in Classical Greek history. It is also a former municipality in Arcadia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Tripoli, of which it is a municipal unit. Its seat was the village of Nestani (pop. 778 in 2001). It is located in the northeastern part of Arcadia. The municipal unit has a land area of 205.393 km? and a population of 3,510 inhabitants. Its largest other towns are Artemisi (pop. 654), Loukas (653), and Kapsas (505).
