A compilation of the 34 finalist designs in the 6th Mies van der Rohe Prize for European architecture. The winner, this time round, was Peter Zumthors Museum of Art in Bregenz, a work amply documented in this book, although all the projects are of the quality of Rem Koolhaas Villa in Bordeaux, Daniel Libeskinds Jewish Museum in Berlin or Rieger & Riewes Technical University in Graz. With essays by Dietmar Steiner and Vittorio Magnago Lampugnani.
