Represented in it are, among others, Hans Hofmann, Robert Motherwell, Morris Louis, Barnet Newman, Cy Twombly, Robert Rauschenberg, Claes Oldenburg, Andy Warhol, Edward Kienholz, Dan Flavin, Hans Haacke, Robert Smithson, Mike Kelley, Dan Graham, Lawrence Weiner and Jason Rhoades. Two essays on collecting, by Boris Groys and Petra Kipphoff, are also included in the book.
