Neither is the architect's fame due to the fact that he was a great promoter of his work and character, since he isolated himself from everything that could disturb his work. Nor were his proposals accepted with enthusiasm by his contemporaries who, in general, were hostile towards them. Therefore, we see that it is not easy to find reasonable answers that justify Gaudi's current notoriety, nor the indifference that he was subjected to, including just before his death in 1926.
