William "Billy" Robinson (13 August 1890 - 14 March 1969) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Robinson was the centre half-back in Carlton's 1915 premiership team. He also played in the 1916 VFL Grand Final, which Carlton lost. He won the Stawell Gift in 1914. Australian rules football, officially known as Australian football, also called football, footy or Aussie rules (and in some regions called-erroneously-AFL, after the Australian Football League, the only fully professional Australian rules football league) is a sport played between two teams of 22 players (18 on the field, and four interchanges) on either an Australian rules football ground, a modified cricket field or another modified sports venue.
