Jack Plunkett (born 5 January 1911) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Plunkett was just 17 when he debuted in the 1928 VFL season. He was Geelong's leading goal-kicker in 1929, with 29 goals, six of which game in a win over Fitzroy. Australian rules football, officially known as Australian football, also called football, footy or Aussie rules (and in some regions called-erroneously-AFL, after the Australian Football League, the only fully professional Australian rules football league) is a sport played between two teams of 22 players (18 on the field, and four interchanges) on either an Australian rules football ground, a modified cricket field or another modified sports venue.
