Jeff Hogg is a former Australian rules football player who played in the VFL between 1986 and 1993 for the Richmond Football Club, and between 1994 and 1996 for the Fitzroy Football Club. He was a key figure in the 'Mothers Day Massacre' of Collingwood in 1991 when the Tigers pumped the Magpies. Australian rules football, officially known as Australian football, also called football, footy or Aussie rules (and in some regions called-erroneously-AFL, after the Australian Football League, the only fully professional Australian rules football league) is a sport played between two teams of 22 players (18 on the field, and four interchanges) on either an Australian rules football ground, a modified cricket field or another modified sports venue.
