Rui Miguel Melo Rodrigues (born 15 November 1983), known as Rui Miguel, is a Portuguese footballer who plays for FC Astra PloieE?ti in Romania, as an attacking midfielder. Born in Viseu, Rui Miguel began playing for hometown's AcadA©mico Futebol Clube, first appearing as a senior in division three. In 2004, he stayed in that level, signing with Sporting da CovilhA?. Miguel moved into the top level in the following season, with AssociaA§A?o Naval 1A? de Maio; his competition debut took place on August 26, 2005, as he played 36 minutes in the club's 2a??3 home loss against F.C. Porto, and he would play the vast majority of that campaign also from the bench.
