The World Junior Figure Skating Championships is an annual event sanctioned by the International Skating Union in which younger figure skaters compete for the title of World Junior Champion. The 1996 competition took place between November 26 and December 2, 1995 in Brisbane, Australia. Due to the large number of participants, the ladies and men's qualifying groups were split into groups A and B. The International Skating Union (ISU) is the international governing body for competitive ice skating disciplines, including figure skating, synchronized skating, speed skating, and short track speed skating.
