Herbert "Bertie" Loel (born 5 November 1878; date and place of death unknown) was an Australian rules footballer who played with the Carlton Football Club in the Victorian Football Association (VFA), Fitzroy in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and the West Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football Association (WAFA). He led the WAFA's goalkicking in 1898, 1899, 1901 and 1902. Australian rules football, officially known as Australian football, also called football, footy or Aussie rules (and in some regions calleda??erroneouslya??AFL, after the Australian Football League, the only fully professional Australian rules football league) is a sport played between two teams of 22 players (18 on the field, and four interchanges) on either an Australian rules football ground, a modified cricket field or another modified sports venue.
