September 1903) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Fitzroy and Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Moriarty was killed by a freight train near Jolimont railway station in August 1903. The coroner's inquest determined that he probably died whilst suffering an epileptic fit. Australian rules football, officially known as Australian football, also called football, footy or Aussie rules (and in some regions calleda??erroneouslya??AFL, after the Australian Football League, the only fully professional Australian rules football league) is a sport played between two teams of 22 players (18 on the field, and four interchanges) on either an Australian rules football ground, a modified cricket field or another modified sports venue.
