Dalton (born 15 April 1876) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Fitzroy in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Dalton was a half back flanker in Fitzroy's 1898 premiership team. Brother of teammate Bill, he missed out on their premiership the following season due to injury. Australian rules football, officially known as Australian football, also called football, footy or Aussie rules (and in some regions calleda??erroneouslya??AFL, after the Australian Football League, the only fully professional Australian rules football league) is a sport played between two teams of 22 players (18 on the field, and four interchanges) on either an Australian rules football ground, a modified cricket field or another modified sports venue.
