Albert "Alby" Murdoch (18 January 1935 - 15 December 2010) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Murdoch, an Essendon High School Old Boy, was in North Melbourne's recruiting zone but opted to instead qualify for Essendon. He won the Essendon District Football League Best and Fairest award in 1956, while playing for the Lincoln Stars. A wingman, first played for Essendon in 1957 and was a regular fixture in the side from 1958.
