Carlos Miguel Brandao Fernandes (born 5 May 1978 in Lisbon) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Associacao Naval 1? de Maio as a left defender. During his professional career, the unsuccessful product of Sporting Clube de Portugal's youth system represented, among other clubs, C.F. Os Belenenses and Boavista FC, having made his first division debuts with S.C. Farense, in 1999. In January 2006, he joined Sporting de Braga, appearing in seven UEFA Cup matches over the course of his two full seasons.
