The computational algorithms have been completely redesigned to exploit massive parallelism of CUDA-enabled NVIDIA GPUs. As of February, 2011, TeraChem is the only GPU-accelerated computational chemistry software that offers substantial speedups as compared to traditional CPU-based solutions.
