Based in the Rimac District, in the department of Lima, it plays in the professional league known as the Peruvian First Division. Founded on November 16, 1926 in the Rimac District given its approval to the merger and Snuff Sporting merging with the brewery and make way for the birth of the Sporting Cristal on December 13, 1955. The team's original name was Sporting Tabaco, but it was renamed after being purchased by a local beer production company.
