Robert Michael "Bob" Bender (born April 28, 1957 in Quantico, Virginia) is a basketball coach, currently working as an assistant with the NBA's Atlanta Hawks. He attended Bloomington High School in Bloomington, IL, where he was an All-American in basketball. He began his college career at Indiana University, under Bobby Knight. A graduate of Duke University, he began his coaching career as an assistant at Duke under Mike Krzyzewski. He later served as head coach at Illinois State University and the University of Washington, and was an assistant with the Philadelphia 76ers.
