Chad Curtis (born November 6, 1968 in Marion, Indiana) is a former outfielder in Major League Baseball who played from 1992-2001, notably for the New York Yankees. He also played for the Anaheim Angels (his original team), Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers. Over his career he compiled a .264 batting average and hit 101 home runs. He is best known for hitting a walk-off home run in Game 3 of the 1999 World Series against the Atlanta Braves; it was his second of the night. In an on-field interview immediately after the home run, he refused to talk to NBC sportscaster Jim Gray in response to Gray's controversial interview with Pete Rose.
