Alfred Edward Cuccinello (August 26, 1914 - March 29, 2004) was a second baseman in Major League Baseball who played briefly for the New York Giants during the 1935 season. Listed at 5' 10", 165 lb., Cuccinello batted and threw right-handed. He was the younger brother of Tony Cuccinello and uncle of Sam Mele. A native of Long Island City, New York, Cuccinello appeared in 54 games for the 1935 Giants. On May 30 of that year, he hit a home run in his first game at the Polo Grounds, and on July 5, he and his brother Al a??for the Brooklyn Dodgersa?? each hit home runs in the same game, joining a select club that includes Aaron and Bret Boone, CA©sar and Felipe Crespo, HA©ctor and JosA© Cruz, Dom and Joe DiMaggio, Graig and Jim Nettles, and Rick and Wes Ferrell.
