Allen Lindsey Cooke (June 23, 1907 - November 21, 1987) was an American outfielder in Major League Baseball who played for three different teams between 1930 and 1938. Listed at 6' 1", 205 lb., Cooke batted left-handed and threw right-handed. He was born in Swepsonville, North Carolina. Well known for his defensive abilities, Cooke was a competent fourth outfielder able to handle all three outfield positions. He reached the majors in 1930 with the New York Yankees, spending three years with them before moving to the Boston Red Sox (1933a??1936) and Cincinnati Reds (1938).
