This book gives a picture about changes in livelihood security of rural women, as they shift from agriculture to other occupations as a part of increasing urbanization. There are influences of spatial, temporal and occupational migration which brings in changes in livelihoods. Livelihood security is measured using the livelihood security index developed for the same. Livelihood security is defined in terms of food, Occupational/ financial, social,ecological,habitat,health,educational and Environmental security. There are positive and negative influences on each of these components.
