Hannes Rall is an independent director of animated short films and has gained a reputation for creating successful adaptations of high literature.His films ?The Raven?(Edgar Allan Poe) and ?The Erl-King? (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe) have been shown in festivals and museums world-wide and won multiple awards. He is currently directing a 25 minute animated short film, based on the famous German fairy tale novel ?The Cold Heart? ( by Wilhelm Hauff, a 19th century romantic writer).
