Geographic Information System-based integrated road crash data system can be used for mitigating road safety problems. This manuscript centres on on two areas. Firstly, the review of the database systems has been done, which forms the basic platform for managing all road crash attribute data. The data modelling concepts such as the types of data models, the use of the entity relationship diagrams and database models have been reviewed. The Database Management System (DBMS) is a powerful tool for creating and managing large amounts of data efficiently and allowing it to persist over long periods of time, safely. The second aspect deals with the Geographic Information Systems (GISs) which have proven to be powerful analysis tools in almost all fields today.
